PlayStation Plus Members Get Mortal Kombat Demo March 8
Starting March 8, PlayStation Plus members will be able to get their hands on a Mortal Kombat demo on the PlayStation Network. In the demo, you’ll be able to use the following characters: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, and Johnny Cage and you’ll be able to fight in the following stages: The Pit and The Living Forest.
If you aren’t a PlayStation Plus member, don’t worry! You will be able to get your hands on this demo starting March 15. And if you have the Xbox 360, again, don’t worry! The press release said that it will be arriving “later” than the PS3 version.

Minecraft Wins Big Last Night
Mojang’s Minecraft won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize for Best Independent Game as well as the community-voted Audience Award at the 13th Annual Independent Games Festival Awards, last night.
It also nabbed the Best Debut Game at the 11th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards. This makes Minecraft the first title to ever win an award at both ceremonies in the same year.
Also: Rockstar San Diego’s Red Dead Redemption grabbed a total of four awards at the GDC Awards last night. This includes Game of the Year and Best Game Design.
